Face coverings become mandatory: Are you prepared?

From Friday 24th July, it will be mandatory to wear face coverings in shops and supermarkets across England. This new rule is being enforced by the police, however, shop owners are being encouraged to help the public comply with this rule. Anyone who fails to adhere to the new rules will face a £100 fine. There are exemptions for children under 11 years old and those with certain disabilities.

The timing of these new laws is critically important. Across the country, communities have come out of lockdown, returned to work, and social settings. Face masks/face coverings have been recognised as an increasingly important way, in conjunction with regular hand washing and social distancing, to prevent the spread of coronavirus. For some of us, this might be the first time you’re having to wear a mask, and for others, it will already be part of your everyday practice.

Our 30% off sale is designed to help the nation access fairly priced PPE items so that together we can all play our part in stopping the spread of Coronavirus.  *Offer runs from 23/07/2020 to 26/07/2020

At Trusted PPE, we aim to protect the nation, by liaising directly with factories to provide you or your business with high quality and certified products. We understand in these challenging times, the health and wellbeing of your family and loved ones has never been more important. With face masks becoming mandatory from July 24th, we have put together a table comparing prices from some of the UK’s biggest retailers, to help you, the Great British public, understand what a fair price for a face mask is.

Our 98% Filtering Surgical Face Masks / Type IIR (Box of 50)  start from £24.50 or 49p a mask.

Our 95% Filtering Standard Face Masks (Box of 50) start from £13.50 or 27p a mask.

The table above is for our surgical standard, 98% filtering Type IIR facemask, and shows the scale of the options available, with varying quantities and prices. With social distancing showing little signs of becoming a thing of the past, small quantities of expensive face masks seem to be an inefficient way of buying PPE for the long term.

Supermarkets do offer an element of convenience, after all, they stock staple products and a face mask is quickly becoming a part of our daily life. At Trusted PPE, we do our best to make ordering items as easy as possible, providing next working day delivery when placing an order before 4pm, as well as live chat and a call back facility for those who may need advice or have questions.
